“I was going to take the advance my uncle took. I took a bench in a workshop instead.”

Young people are not merely future leaders. They can contribute today. This project develops character, leadership, life skills, education, confidence and a sense of responsibility.
For a young person who leaves school early, the alternative to a workshop bench is often an advance from a kiln owner. Placement and mentoring is the cheapest prevention work we do.
We say to every participant: you have value, you have gifts, you have responsibility, you have a future, and your life can make a difference.
“Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young.”
We publish outcomes rather than activity counts, and we do not publish a number we cannot evidence.
Every story here is recorded on a visit, read back in the person’s own language, and published only once they sign off.
